What to do if my Blagdon Pump 25 Series is not starting?
    • J
      Jeremy HernandezAug 5, 2025
If your Blagdon Pump Water Pump isn't starting, several issues could be the cause. It might be due to an air valve assembly malfunction, an obstructed fluid line, or a blocked diaphragm chamber. The diaphragm itself could have failed, or there could be a diaphragm seal failure or air valve system malfunction. Also, check if the air is connected to the exhaust. To resolve this, check the carrier for freedom of movement, clean, oil, and replace parts as necessary. Clean the fluid line or increase its size, remove any obstructions, replace the diaphragm or shaft seals, and check all seals in the valve chest assembly. Finally, ensure the air is correctly connected to the inlet.

    • Z
      zchavezAug 11, 2025
If your Blagdon Pump Water Pump is discharging fluid from the air exhaust, it's likely due to a diaphragm failure or a loose frontplate. Replace the diaphragm and re-torque the frontplate to the manual's specifications.

What to do if my Blagdon Pump 25 Series strokes but will not discharge?
    • K
      kevinjohnsonAug 17, 2025
If your Blagdon Pump Water Pump strokes but doesn't discharge, it could be due to excessive suction lift, suction line leakage, a valve ball not seating correctly or being damaged, a clogged suction line or strainer, or diaphragm failure. Try shortening the suction line, checking and correcting any suction line leakage, inspecting and clearing or replacing the valve ball, clearing any clogs, and replacing the diaphragm.

Why does my Blagdon Pump 25 Series have an erratic flow?
    • R
      Ryan MorrisAug 23, 2025
An erratic flow in your Blagdon Pump Water Pump can stem from several causes. It could be due to diaphragm failure on one side, a valve ball not seating properly, suction leakage, diaphragm failure causing fluid and excessive air to be expelled through the exhaust, diaphragm seal failure, or an air valve system malfunction. Address this by replacing the diaphragm, checking and removing any obstructions affecting the valve ball, correcting any suction leakage, replacing shaft seals, and checking all seals in the valve chest assembly.

How to fix intermittent stroke rate on my Blagdon Pump 25 Series?
    • L
      larrymillerAug 29, 2025
An intermittent stroke rate in your Blagdon Pump Water Pump could be caused by over-lubrication, diaphragm shaft seal failure, air valve system malfunction, or a valve ball not seating or being partially obstructed. To fix this, shut down the pump, remove the air connection, and introduce a small amount of de-greasing agent into the air valve before replacing the line. Run the pump until it clears. Also, replace the seals, check all seals in the valve chest assembly, and clear any obstructions.
