To close the menu,
➮ press the OK button 5 or MENU but-
ton 8.
The settings are saved.
Displaying the radio passport
data
You can use the supplied KeyCard to display
the radio passport data like model name, type
number (7 6...) and serial number.
➮ Press the MENU button 8.
➮ Keep pressing the or button 7 un-
til “READ KC” appears in the display.
➮ Press the button 7.
The radio passport data are displayed as
scrolling text in the display.
To close the menu,
➮ press the OK button 5 or MENU but-
ton 8.
The settings are saved.
Looking after the KeyCard
Keeping the contacts free from dirt and other
particles will ensure that the KeyCard func-
tions properly. Avoid making direct skin con-
tact with the contacts.
If necessary, clean the KeyCard contacts with
a lint-free cloth and some alcohol.
Switching on/off
There are various ways of switching the unit
on/off.
Switching on/off using button 2
➮ To switch the unit on, press button 2.
The unit switches on.
➮ To switch the unit off, press button 2
for longer than two seconds.
The unit switches off.
Switching on/off using the
vehicle ignition
If the unit is correctly connected to the vehi-
cle’s ignition and the unit was not switched
off using button 2, it will switch on/off simul-
taneously with the ignition.
You can switch the unit on even if the ignition
is off.
➮ To do so, press button 2.
Note:
● To protect the vehicle battery, the unit
will switch off automatically after one
hour if the ignition is off.
Switching on/off using the
KeyCard
You can switch the unit on/off by inserting and
removing the KeyCard if the unit was not pre-
viously switched off using button 2. For in-
structions on inserting/removing the KeyCard,
please read the chapter entitled “Theft pro-
tection KeyCard”.
