The device also reports traffi c obstructions if you
did not start a route guidance.
Touch the symbol in the Navigation
menu.
The traffi c reports are listed.
Touch the buttons to change be-
tween messages.
Touch the Show Message button to display a
message in its entirety.
Switch on automatic traffi c jam
detours
During the route guidance, the automatic traffi c
jam detours guides you past reported traffi c ob-
structions.
Touch the symbol in the Navigation
menu.
The Routing options menu is dis-
played.
Touch the symbol to activate (check
mark) or deactivate (no check mark)
automatic traffi c jam detours.
Traffi c obstructions on the map
display

On the map, the symbol identifi es all re-
ceived traffi c obstructions.
The concerned segments are marked in red or
in gray if they are outside your route.
In addition, a note calls your attention to immedi-
ate dangers, such as drivers going in the wrong di-
rection, as soon as the TMC message is received.

Bluetooth function
Bluetooth is a wireless radio connection over
a short distance. Hence, a Bluetooth-capable
cell phone allows using the navigation device as
a hands-free system. In addition, music tracks
stored on the cell phone can be played and navi-
gated.
Prerequisites:
Compatible Bluetooth cell phone (ch. "Tech-
nical data")
Bluetooth function and cell phone visibility
are activated
Note:
The Bluetooth connection can be established
only to one cell phone. If more registered cell
phones are available, the Bluetooth connec-
tion is established to the one that was regis-
tered last.
Starting the Bluetooth application
Touch the symbol in the main menu.
The Bluetooth Menu is displayed.
The Bluetooth function is being
activated.
For the Bluetooth connection, the device
must fi rst be registered with the cell phone.
Registering the devices
Registering is the fi rst contact between an un-
known cell phone and the navigation device. The
devices "become acquainted".
When you start the Bluetooth application for the
fi rst time, the query "Connect the devices now?"
appears.
