  The loading door of your Blomberg washer may not open due to several reasons. The cover lock might be activated because of the water level inside; try draining the water by running the Pump or Spin programme. The washer might be heating water or in the spinning cycle; wait until it's over. The door can only be opened a few minutes after the program has stopped due to an electrical safety mechanism. If the child lock is engaged, wait a couple of minutes after the program ends for it to deactivate.

  The Blomberg washer may have switched to self-protection mode due to a supply problem (line voltage, water pressure, etc.). To cancel the current program, turn the Programme Selection knob to select another program.

Also, the washer may increase rinse cycles or water amount for better rinsing. Excessive foam from too much detergent can also activate the foam absorption system, lengthening the cycle. Finally, an imbalanced load can trigger the spin correction system.

  If foam is overflowing from the detergent drawer or your Blomberg washer is full of suds, it's likely due to not using HE detergent or using too much of it. Push the “Start/Pause/Cancel” button. Mix 2 cups of water with 1-2 tablespoons of fabric softener and pour it into the detergent dispenser. Push the “Start/Pause/Cancel” button again. Next time, use the proper amount of HE detergent.
