The motorcycle can tip
away to the side and fall
over.
Secure motorcycle against tip-
ping away to the side, prefer-
ably with the help of a second
person.
Remove rear wheel stand.
Place motorcycle on its side
stand.
Firmly compress front forks.
Tighten quick-release axle 1.

37 lb/ft (50 Nm)
Tighten axle clamping
screws 2.
Clamping screws (quick-
release axle) in axle
mount
Tightening sequence: Tighten
each screw 3 times diagonally
14 lb/ft (19 Nm)
Tighten screws 1.
Front wheel cover on
fork
4 lb/ft (5 Nm)
Remove rear wheel
Make sure ground is level and
firm and park motorcycle.
Install rear-wheel stand ( 70).
