sary either over or on both sides around the
head restraint to the attachment point.
3. If there is a retaining strap, run it between
the backrest and the cargo cover.
4. Attach the hook of the retaining strap to the
attachment point.
5. Tighten the retaining strap.
Locking the doors and
windows in the rear
General information
In certain situations it may be advisable to se-
cure the rear doors and windows, for instance
when transporting children.
Doors
Unlock or lock the safety switch on the rear
doors with the integrated key.
Depending on the vehicle equipment, a corre-
sponding icon can be seen on the vehicle:
Icon
Meaning
Child safety lock.
Child safety latch is unlocked.
Icon Meaning
Child safety latch is locked.
Lock the child safety lock.
The door can now be opened from the outside
only.
Safety switch for rear
On the driver's door, press the rear
safety switch.
Various functions are locked and can-
not be operated in the rear such as the power
windows.
