Why won't my Bolens 12226 engine start?

There are several reasons why your Bolens Tiller engine might not be starting: * The spark plug wire might be disconnected; reconnect it. * The Engine Throttle Control Lever may be incorrectly set; put the lever in the START position. * The fuel tank could be empty; add fuel. * You might have stale gasoline; drain the old fuel and add fresh fuel. * The air filter(s) might be dirty; clean or replace the filter(s). * The spark plug might be defective or incorrectly gapped; inspect the spark plug. If none of these resolves the issue, you may need to consult an Engine Service Dealer for carburetor, throttle control, or fuel tank issues.
