Remove bolts and knobs from lower handle.
(1) Attach upper handle to lower handle using
removed hardware. (2) Tighten knobs securely.
Insert tine clutch bail into handle as shown.
Insert Z-tting on clutch cable into tine clutch bail.
Insert tine clutch bail into handle as shown.

Handle and Control Assembly

Remove Lower Handle Hardware

Prepare the lower handle by removing bolts and knobs for subsequent attachment.

Attach Upper Handle

Install Tine Clutch Bail

Insert the tine clutch bail into the handle assembly as depicted in the illustration.

Connect Clutch Cable

Attach the Z-fitting of the clutch cable to the tine clutch bail for proper function.

Engine Start-Up Procedure

Fuel Tank Filling

Fill the fuel tank with gasoline to within 1/2 inch of the top of the tank.

Engine Oil Addition

Add the entire contents of the provided oil bottle into the engine's oil fill port.

Primer Operation

Press the primer bulb five times to prepare the engine for starting.

Pull Starter Rope

Pull the starter rope with a quick, full arm stroke to initiate the engine.
