SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Working in the vicinity of a baery
1) Baeries generate explosive gases during normal operaon. Use in well-venlated areas.
2) Consider having someone close enough or within the range of your voice to come to your aid when you work near a baery.
3) Do not smoke, strike a match, or cause a spark in the vicinity of a baery or engine.
4) Remove all personal jewelry, like bracelets, necklaces, and watches while working with a vehicle baery. These items can cause a short circuit that could
result in serious burns.
5) Be especially careful to reduce the risk of a metal tool falling on the baery. It can cause a spark or short circuit in the baery or other electrical equipment,
which can lead to an explosion or re.
6) Wear complete eye and hand protecon and protecve clothing. Avoid touching eyes while working near a baery.
7) Study all the baery's manufacturers specic precauons such as removing or not removing cell caps while charging and recommended rates of charge.
8) Clean baery terminals before connecng with the charger. Be careful to keep corrosion from coming in contact with eyes.
9) When it is necessary to remove a baery from a vehicle to charge, always remove the grounded terminal from the baery rst. Make sure all accessories in
the vehicle are switched o in order to prevent an arc.
10) It is not intended to supply power to an extra-low-voltage electrical system or to charge dry-cell baeries. Charging dry-cell baeries can lead to combuson
and cause injury to people and property.
11) Never charge a frozen, damaged, leaking or non-rechargeable baery.
12) If baery electrolyte comes into contact with skin or clothing, clean immediately with soap and water. If electrolyte comes into contact with your eyes,
immediately rinse eye with clean running cold water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical aenon immediately.
Using the charger
1) Do not place the charger in the engine compartment, near moving parts or near the baery. Place as far away from them as the DC cable permits. Never
place a charger directly above a baery being charged; gases or uids from baery will corrode and damage the charger.
2) Do not cover the charger while charging.
3) Do not expose to rain or humid condions.
4) Connect and disconnect DC output only aer seng the AC cord from electric outlet.
5) Use of an aachment not recommended or supplied by the manufacturer may result in a risk of re, electric shock or injury.
6) To reduce the risk of damage to electric plug and cord, pull by the plug rather than the cord when disconnecng charger.
7) To reduce risk of electric shock, unplug charger from outlet before aempng any maintenance or cleaning.
8) Operate with cauon if the charger has received a direct hit of force or been dropped. Have it checked and repaired if damaged.
9) Any repair must be carried out by the manufacturer or an authorized repair agent in order to avoid danger.
Please read and understand all important safety and operang instrucons before using this charger. In addion, please read and follow all
baery and vehicle manufacturers instrucons and cauonary markings.
