Mounng the addional handle (Fig. H, I)
Place the underside of the addional handle (13) on the upper telescopic rod (4).
Insert the handle (G) of the addional handle into the handle holder (H).
Insert the mounng screw (I) through the large hole on the addional handle and ghten it clockwise unl the posion of the addional handle is xed.
Cauon: Always use the addional handle while operang the machine. Risk of injury.
Mounng the guide wheel
The guide wheel can be aached in two dierent posions, depending on the task at hand.
- Proceed as follows if you want to use the machine to trim areas (Fig. J)
Mount the guide wheel (15) on the safety guard (9) by sliding the guide wheel onto the provided metal plate (J). Ensure that the guide wheel snaps into place.
- Proceed as follows if you want to use the machine to trim edges (Fig. K)
Mount the guide wheel (15) on the motor unit (12) by sliding the guide wheel onto the provided metal plate. Ensure that the guide wheel snaps into place.
Note: To avoid damaging the machine, be careful not to apply excessive pressure on the guide wheel.
Switching on/o (Fig. L)
- Switching on
Hold the product rmly with both hands using the handle (1) and the addional handle (13).
Press the safety lock (2) on the side of the handle.
Press and hold the ON/OFF switch (3).
- You can release the safety lock keeping the on/o switch pressed.
- Switching o
Release the ON/OFF switch.
Operaon
Aligning the cung head (Fig. M)
The motor unit can be locked in 2 dierent posions.
Hold the motor unit (12) with one hand and with the other the lower telescopic rod (7).
Pull the lower telescopic rod away from the motor unit and turn the motor unit to the desired posion.
Let go of the motor unit and make sure that it clicks back into place in the desired posion to prevent the posion from changing unintenonally.
Adjusng the cung angle (Fig. N)
Using the adjustment buon (8) you can lock the cung angle in 5 posions between 0° and 90°.
Place the machine rmly on the ground and push the lt angle adjustment buon on both sides.
Release the adjustment buon to x the adjusted lt angle.
Make sure that the adjustment buon and the motor unit (12) audibly click into place.
Warning: Ensure that the cung head is xed properly before operang the machine.
Adjusng the addional handle (Fig. O)
To improve user comfort, the addional handle (13) can be adjusted. Proceed as follows:
Loosen the mounng screw (H) unl it can be easily moved along the handle.
You can also adjust the lng angle of the addional handle by loosening the mounng screw unl the lng angle can be adjusted without much resistance.
Fix the addional handle in place by ghtening the fastening screw again.
Warning: Ensure that the front handle is xed properly before operang the machine.
Adjusng the telescopic extension (Fig. P)
In order to adjust the length of the telescopic rod, proceed as follows:
Loosen the lock nut (6).
Pull the telescopic rod (7) as far as necessary from the upper telescopic rod (5).
Fix the telescopic rod at the desired length by ghtening the lock nut again.
Warning: Ensure that the telescopic rod and its connecng points are xed properly before operang the machine.
Turn the machine over so that the cung head (10) is at the top.
Press the two locking buons (D) on the cung head simultaneously and remove the cover.
Place the thread spool (16) on the guide axis in the housing.
Insert the thread end through the thread outlet hole (E).
Replace the cover.
Make sure that the cover ts exactly into the grooves on the cung head and that it audibly clicks into place.
Press the lock buon (F) on the outside of the cung head and pull out the thread end so that it is level with the thread cuer.
