Do you have a question about the Bosch 0 601 9F6 071 and is the answer not in the manual?
This document describes the Bosch GSR 12V-15 FC Professional cordless drill/driver, including its various adapters, technical specifications, and usage instructions.
The GSR 12V-15 FC is a versatile cordless drill/driver designed for driving and loosening screws, as well as for drilling in wood, metal, and plastic. Its compact and ergonomic design makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, especially in tight spaces. The tool's modular interface allows for quick and tool-free attachment of various accessories, significantly enhancing its functionality.
The core of the GSR 12V-15 FC is its robust motor, powered by a 10.8V/12V Li-ion battery. The tool features a two-speed gearbox, allowing users to select between a low-speed range (0–400 rpm) for screwdriving and large drilling diameters, and a high-speed range (0–1300 rpm) for smaller drilling diameters. This mechanical gear selection is controlled by a gear selector switch (3), which should only be operated when the power tool is at a standstill to prevent damage.
A torque presetting ring (2) offers 15 stages of torque adjustment, ensuring precise control for various screwdriving tasks. When the set torque is reached, the overload clutch deactivates, stopping the application tool. This prevents overtightening and damage to screws or workpieces. For drilling, the overload clutch can be deactivated by selecting the drilling symbol on the torque ring.
The rotational direction switch (6) allows for easy selection of forward (right rotation) for drilling and screwdriving, and reverse (left rotation) for loosening screws and nuts. This switch cannot be operated while the on/off switch (7) is pressed.
The on/off switch (7) provides variable speed control; applying light pressure results in a low rotational speed, which increases with greater pressure. This allows for fine control during delicate tasks and higher speeds for faster work.
An integrated worklight (9) illuminates the work area when the on/off switch (7) is pressed, improving visibility in poorly lit conditions. The worklight remains on for approximately 10 seconds after the switch is released.
The tool also incorporates an automatic spindle lock (Auto-Lock) feature. When the on/off switch (7) is not pressed, the drill spindle and tool holder are locked. This enables manual tightening or loosening of screws, and allows the power tool to be used as a screwdriver even when the battery is discharged.
For battery management, the tool includes a battery charge indicator (8) with three green LEDs. This indicator shows the battery's state of charge for a few seconds when the on/off switch (7) is partially or fully pressed. A thermal overload protection system reduces power output or switches off the tool if it is overloaded or operates outside the permitted temperature range, protecting the battery and motor from damage.
The GSR 12V-15 FC is highly adaptable due to its compatibility with several Bosch GFA 12V adapters:
These adapters can be easily attached and removed from the tool holder (1) by turning the locking ring (14) until it audibly clicks into place. The adapters can also be rotated to the desired position by pulling them approximately 5 mm away from the power tool and then releasing them.
Regular maintenance is crucial for safe and efficient operation. Users are advised to keep the power tool and its ventilation slots clean. Before any maintenance, tool changes, transport, or storage, the battery (5) should always be removed from the power tool to prevent unintentional activation. Damaged battery packs should only be serviced by the manufacturer or authorized service providers.
The Li-ion battery is designed for durability and can be charged at any time without reducing its service life. The "Electronic Cell Protection (ECP)" system protects the battery from deep discharge, automatically shutting off the tool when the battery is depleted. Users should not continue to press the on/off switch after automatic shutdown, as this can damage the battery.
For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to fully charge the battery before its first use. When drilling in metal, use only sharp HSS drills. For larger screws in hard materials, pre-drilling a pilot hole (approx. 2/3 of the screw length with the core diameter of the thread) is recommended. After prolonged low-speed operation, run the tool at maximum speed without load for about three minutes to cool it down.
