Time
Displaying the time
In order to display the time for about 10 sec-
onds,
f Hold down the MENU
7
button for
longer than 2 seconds.
Note:
Depending on the selected clock
mode, either "24H" will be shown in
front of the time when in 24-hour
mode, or, in 12-hour mode, "AM" (in
the morning) or "PM" (in the
afternoon).
Read the section on "Selecting
12/24-hour clock mode" in this
chapter to see how to set the clock
mode.
Setting the time (TIMESET)
f Press the MENU 7 button to open the
menu.
f Press the MENU 7 button repeatedly
until "TIMESET" appears on the display
along with the current setting.
The current time will be shown on the display
after about 2 seconds. Either "24H" will be
shown in front of the time when in 24-hour
mode, or, in 12-hour mode, "AM" (in the
morning) or "PM" (in the afternoon). The hours
flash, and can be adjusted.
To adjust the hours or minutes,
f Turn the volume control

to the left or
right.
To switch between hours and minutes
f Press the 6 < button.
f Press the MENU 7 button, repeatedly if
necessary, to close the menu.
Selecting 12/24-hour clock mode
(MODE)
f Press the MENU 7 button to open the
menu.
f Press the MENU 7 button repeatedly
until "MODE" appears on the display along
with the current setting.
f Turn the volume control

to the left or
right in order to change between the
settings.
f Press the MENU
7
button, repeatedly if
necessary, to close the menu.
Switching the alarm on/off and
adjusting the alarm time (ALARM)
You can set an alarm time on the device for a
one-off alarm. An alarm signal will then sound
at the set time for about 15 seconds and
"ALARM" will flash on the display.
Note:
f To cancel the sounding alarm
signal, press any button (other
than the On/Off button

or
the eject button

). The device
then switches into normal
operating mode.
f The alarm is also given if the
device is already switched on at
the time of the alarm.
