Follow all instructions and warnings for batteries. Do not short terminals, charge alkaline batteries, mix old/new, or mix chemistries.

Use AA alkaline batteries. Ensure correct polarity. Monitor battery status via indicator b. Replace batteries in pairs.

Open legs to desired spring angle. Measure or set angle. Angles > 90° are converted. Use 'HOLD' to recall saved angle.
Place legs flat against walls to measure or set corner angle. Used for fitting workpieces into corners.
Press button 15 to calculate and display 'MTR' (miter) and 'BVL' (bevel) angles for compound cuts.
