5.5.10 P0 (IPM malfunction or high current protection diagnosis and solution)
Description: The IPM sends voltage signal to the compressor drive chip. If the voltage signal is out of range, “P0” will be shown on the display and the
unit will be turned off.
Possible defects:
• Wiring mistake
• IPM malfunction
• Faulty outdoor fan assembly
• Compressor malfunction
• Faulty outdoor PCB

Does an error exist?
Check the IPM.
Replace the outdoor PCB.
Check the wiring between PCB and
compressor.
Check the compressor resistance
values.
Check the outdoor fan and the outdoor unit
ventilation.
Ensure proper connections or replace the wires
and connectors.
Replace the IPM board or replace the
outdoor PCB.
Please refer to the solution of the “Fan Speed is Out of
Control”malfunction.
Replace the compressor.
Is it in working range?
