11.1.3 Air-pressure connector kit
To use sealing air on MSK motors, a compressed air connection must be
available on the system. The required compressed air preparation and com‐
pressed air hoses must be provided by the plant.

Use the SUP-M01-MSK accessory kit for motors with RGS1000 encoder con‐
nection and the SUP-M02-MSK accessory kit for the motors with RLS1300
power connection.
The proper sealing function of the rotary shaft seal is important for
the safe function of the sealing air application. Observe the infor‐
mation on the mark of conformity under (Fig.: 8.2 ).
Assembly
Danger! Electric voltage! Operations in the vi‐
cinity of live parts are extremely dangerous.
Any work required on the electric system may be carried out
only by skilled electricians. Tools for electricians (VDE tools)
are absolutely necessary.
Prior to commencing work:
1. Enable.
2. Secure against reactivation.
3. Ensure de-energization.
4. Ground and short-circuit.
5. Cover or shield any adjacent live parts.
Fatal electric shock from live parts with more
than 50V!
Only open the connector sockets of the motor when the
system is de-energized!
Mount SUP-M01-MSK on the encoder flange socket RGS1000 (Fig.: 11-1,
SUP-M02-MSK on the power flange socket RLS1300 (Fig.: 11-2).
Loosen the encoder connector cover screws and remove the cover.
Mount the sealing air connection
Screw the encoder connector cover with sealing air connection onto the
motor. Tightening torque of the screws RGS1000 1.3 Nm, RLS1300 3.1 Nm.
Use screw lock adhesive, e.g. LOCTITE 243
®
