Faults Cause/Remedy
Water is leaking from the
machine.
■ Attach the drain hose correctly or replace it.
■ Tighten the screw connection of the drain hose.
The machine is not filling
with water.
Detergent is not being dis-
pensed.
■ Have you pressed the A button?
■ Is the tap turned on?
■ Could the filter be clogged? Clean the filter. ~ Page 34
Note: If an additional water filter has been installed (depending on model),
check for contaminants and clean if required ~ separate installation and
cleaning instruction for water filter.
■ Is the supply hose kinked or trapped?
The door cannot be
opened.
■ The safety function is activated.
Note: For safety reasons, the washing machine door remains locked when
the water level or temperature is high (See ~ Cancel the programme
~ Page 30) or while the drum is rotating.
■ Is the E childproof lock activated? Deactivate it. ~ "Childlock"
on page 29

when the wash program starts.
