Aim Operation
Play a sample Pad [1]–[8]
Play sounds input from an external source [EXT SOURCE]
Select mono/stereo for the external input [EXT SOURCE] ➔ [STEREO]
Sampling [REC] ➔ Pad [1]–[8] ➔ [REC]
Set Auto Sampling [CANCEL] + [REC] ➔ CTRL 3/MFX (LEVEL) knob ➔ [REC]
Release Auto Sampling [CANCEL] + [REC] ➔ Turn the CTRL 3/MFX (LEVEL) knob completely to the left ➔ [REC]
Resampling [RESAMPLE] ➔ CTRL 3/MFX (LEVEL) knob ➔ [REC] ➔ Pad [1]–[8] ➔ [REC] ➔
Pad [1]–[8]
Delete an individual sample [DEL] ➔ Pad [1]–[8] ➔ [DEL]
Delete all samples [CANCEL] + [DEL] ➔ BANK [A]–[D] ➔ [DEL]
Set the sampling volume Pad [1]–[8] ➔ [START/END/LEVEL] ➔ CTRL 3/MFX (LEVEL) knob
Set the Start Point Pad [1]–[8] ➔ [MARK] ➔ Press Pad [1]–[8] to stop it sounding
Set the End Point [MARK] + Pad [1]–[8] ➔ [MARK]
Set the Start/End Point Pad [1]–[8] ➔ [MARK] ➔ [MARK]
Edit the Start/End Point Pad [1]–[8] ➔ [START/END/LEVEL] ➔ CTRL 1 (START) knob / CTRL 2 (END) knob
Set Time Modify Pad [1]–[8] ➔ [TIME/BPM] ➔ CTRL 1 (TIME) knob
Exchange samples between pads [DEL] + [REC] ➔ Specify exchange-source pad ➔ Specify exchange-destination pad ➔ [REC]
Sample Save [CANCEL] + BANK [C] or [D] ➔ Press a pad ([1]–[7]) to specify the number of the area ➔ [REC]
Sample Load [CANCEL] + BANK [A] or [B] ➔ Press a pad ([1]–[7]) to specify the number of the area ➔ [REC]
Display available sampling time [REMAIN]
Select the MFX type Hold down [MFX] and turn the CTRL 3/MFX knob
Specify the sample to which to apply effects [REMAIN] + Pad [1]–[8]
Apply effects to all samples [REMAIN] + lit Effect button
Effect Grab [TAP TEMPO] + Effect button
Play back a pattern [PATTERN SELECT] ➔ Pad [1]–[8]
Stop a pattern (1) [CANCEL]
Stop a pattern (2) [PATTERN SELECT] ➔ Press the pattern’s pad during playback
Record a pattern [PATTERN SELECT] ➔ [REC] ➔ Pad [1]–[8] ➔ [REC]
Set the pattern tempo (1) [PATTERN SELECT] ➔ [TIME/BPM] ➔ CTRL 2 (BPM) knob
Set the pattern tempo (2) [PATTERN SELECT] ➔ Tap [TAP TEMPO] four times
Set Quantize Press [QUANTIZE] during recording of the pattern or while in recording standby ➔
CTRL 3/MFX knob
Set the pattern length Press [LENGTH] during recording of the pattern or while in recording standby ➔

Set the metronome volume Press [START/END/LEVEL] during recording of the pattern or while in recording
