Panel Descriptions

AC Adaptor Jack

Accepts connection of an AC Adaptor (optional BOSS PSA-Series) for continuous power.

CHECK Indicator

Indicates effect ON/OFF status and serves as a battery check indicator.

OUTPUT Jack

Used to connect the unit to amplifiers or other audio devices.

Pedal Switch

This switch turns the effects ON/OFF.

Thumbscrew

Loosened to open the pedal for battery replacement.

Controls

LEVEL Knob

Making the Connections

Operating the Unit

Initial Setup

Set knobs as shown in illustration after making necessary connections.

Engaging the Effect

Depress the pedal switch to turn the effect ON; CHECK Indicator should light.

Adjusting Balance

Adjust output balance between Dry and Overdrive sounds using the BALANCE Knob.

Adjusting Gain

Adjust the gain of the Dry or Overdrive sound using the GAIN Knob.

Adjusting Tone

Adjust the tone using the HIGH and LOW EQ Knobs.

Adjusting Level

Adjust the LEVEL Knob for no volume difference between effect and straight sounds.

Changing the Battery

Opening the Pedal

Loosen thumbscrew, lift pedal upwards to open unit for battery replacement.

Removing Old Battery

Remove the old battery and its connected snap cord from the housing.

Installing New Battery

Connect snap cord to new battery and place inside housing, observing polarity.

Closing the Pedal

Slip coil spring onto spring base, then close the pedal securely.
