Maintenance Features

Evero® Natural Quartz Material:

  • Routine Cleaning: Use mild neutral base cleaners.
  • Stubborn Stains: Remove with non-abrasive cleaners and pads (e.g., white Scotch Brite® pad or Magic Eraser). Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
  • Surface Protection: For high-use areas, applying Dry Treat Stain-Proof Original or equivalent is recommended to optimize material performance.
  • Repair: Repair kits are available for Evero material, made to order with a 30-day shelf life.
  • Chemical Avoidance: WARNING: Do not use strong acid or alkaline chemicals (e.g., paint remover, bleach, acetone, chloride-based cleaners, floor cleaners) as they can damage the surface. If contact occurs, wipe immediately and rinse with soapy water. Avoid hot pans and objects.

Stainless Steel Components:

  • Routine Cleaning: Use warm water and soap, detergent, or ammonia with a soft cloth or sponge. Always follow manufacturer's instructions and clean in the direction of the polish lines.
  • Stubborn Stains: Use a stainless steel cleaner and polish (e.g., Ball® stainless steel cleaner) or a soft abrasive. Apply in the direction of the polish lines.
  • Tool Avoidance: WARNING: Never use ordinary steel wool or steel brushes on stainless steel, as they can damage the finish.
  • Fingerprints and Smears: Use a high-quality stainless steel cleaner and polish to leave a protective coating.
  • Grease and Oil: Use a quality commercial detergent or caustic cleaner, applied in the direction of the polish lines.
  • Chemical Precautions: Avoid prolonged contact with chlorides (bleaches, salts), bromides (sanitizing agents), thiocyanates (pesticides, photography chemicals, some foods), and iodides, especially in acidic conditions.
  • Evaporation Avoidance: WARNING: Do not permit salty solutions to evaporate and dry on stainless steel, as this can cause rust streaks.
  • Acid/Caustic Cleaners: WARNING: Strongly acidic or caustic cleaners may attack the steel, causing a reddish film. Avoid their use.

General Maintenance:

  • Flushing Lines: Before installation, all water supply lines must be flushed and then turned off to prevent debris from causing valve malfunctions.
  • Electrical Safety: Electrical power to outlets must be turned off and units unplugged before installation and remain off until installation is complete.
  • Parts Verification: All parts should be accounted for before discarding packaging material to avoid installation delays.
  • Drain Cap Removal: The drain cap can be easily removed by gently prying it up with a flat screwdriver in the left or right hand corner.
