Assembly Instructions
Tools required: Hammer, needle nosed pliers, 10" crescent wrench, flathead
screwdriver, phillips head screwdriver, 7/16” wrench, two 1/2" open-end wrenches, utility
knife, and a long-necked funnel.
Fluids required: Motor oil - per engine specifications, 154 oz. (4.5 liters) hydraulic
fluid (use either 10W or AW-32 hydraulic oil or Dexron VI, Mercon V, or equivalent
transmission fluid, but do not mix.), and lead-free gasoline. Refer to the Start-up
Instructions for filling and starting procedures for your log splitter.
1. Using a utility knife, cut along the four corners of the shipping box so the sides lay flat
on the ground. This provides full access to your EZ Split log splitter and makes
assembly much easier.
2. Cut the plastic strap around the parts box and cylinder. Open the box and make sure
you have the following parts.

3. Cut the nylon tie(s) that hold the cylinder to the rail.
