Removing and Replacing the Alarm battery
Ensure the person undertaking this task is competent with soldering.
We recommend the Alarm battery is replaced every 5 years.
The specified part in this manual must be used.
Switch off the Clearway 2 and disconnect the AC mains supply.
Follow the instructions on how to open the case.
Before removing the battery. Set the SW3 DIP switches 1
(A_BAT) = OFF and 2 (A_DIS) = ON
Remove the display command PCB. Using a fine pair of wire cutters, snip the
three legs of the battery and remove the old battery. Carefully remove the
remaining legs and old solder. Solder the new battery in place, trim the excess
leg length then clean the rework area with 70% alcohol. Replace the display
command PCB.
