• Before reassembling the blade and the blade adaptor to the unit, lubricate the engine
crankshaft and the inner surface of the blade adaptor with light oil. Install the blade adaptor
on the crankshaft. Refer to the figure above. Place the blade with the part number facing
toward the adaptor. Align the washer over the blade (the washer cup points toward the
blade) and insert the hex bolt. Tighten the hex bolt to 35-45Nm.

Spark plug
1. Pull off the spark plug boot by twisting side to side
gently.
2. Remove the spark plug with a suitable spark plug
socket spanner.
3. Check the spark plug for carbon deposits and clean if
necessary.
4. Check the gap with a wire gauge and if necessary
reset the gap (the gap should be 0.6mm - 0.7mm).
5. Assemble in reverse order. Tighten the spark plug with
a torque of 20Nm.
Air Filter
• Never start or run the engine with the air filter assembly removed or with the air filter
element removed.
• Always switch off the machine and disconnect spark plug H.T. lead before carrying out
any maintenance work.
1. Push and lift the snap fits to open the air filter
cover.
2. Remove the air filter element.
3. Wash the air filter element in liquid detergent
and water. Squeeze dry the air filter element in
a clean cloth.
4. Saturate the air filter element with clean engine
oil. To remove the excess engine oil, squeeze
the air filter element in a clean cloth.
5. Install the air filter element.
6. Close the cover.
