Installation Instructions
Step 1 – Install batteries
From the FRONT of the battery holder unscrew 4 screws to remove
battery cover. Install 3 fresh AA batteries, observing the correct
polarity (+/-). Replace battery cover and tighten the screws.
Do not mix old and new batteries and do not mix alkaline, standard
(carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc.) batteries.
Step 2 – Remove larger bracket
Gently lay bicycle on the ground. (It’s easier to install Wheel
Brightz with the bicycle lying on its side.) Unscrew 2 screws from
the larger bracket on the back of the battery holder. Remove the
larger bracket and set aside. Insert the battery holder facing
inward and slide the battery holder away from the center hub
until the spokes fit snugly in the smaller bracket. (For rear wheels
do not mount on the side where the chain is located.)
Step 3 – Positioning

Attach larger bracket onto
battery holder by inserting the
2 screws into the 2 screw slots:
Do not tighten yet! Position as
shown in photo.
Step 5 – Insert the tube LED lights
Insert the clear tubing with the LED lights into the “hollow” area
of the wheel.

Step 4 – Tightening of
larger bracket
Next, slide bracket toward the
center of the wheel until the
battery holder fits snugly. THEN
tighten the 2 screws. Verify that
the battery holder is firmly
attached to the spokes.

Step 1 - Install batteries

Unscrew battery cover, insert 3 fresh AA batteries observing polarity, and replace cover.

Step 2 - Remove larger bracket

Remove larger bracket from battery holder, then slide holder inward until spokes fit smaller bracket.

Step 3 - Positioning of larger bracket

Attach larger bracket to battery holder using 2 screws, positioning as shown without tightening.

Step 4 - Tightening of larger bracket

Slide bracket toward wheel center until snug, then tighten screws to secure battery holder.

Step 5 - Insert the tube LED lights

Insert the clear tubing with LED lights into the hollow area of the wheel.

Step 6 - Place connector

Place the connector next to the base of a spoke; it does not snap in.

Step 7 - Push clear tube to rim

Push clear tube to the wheel rim, continuing around until reaching the connector.

Step 8 - Perfect circle or fill wheel

Cut tube to length for wheels 24"+, or fill wheel with remaining tube for <23" wheels.

Step 9 - Securing cord

Wrap the cord around a spoke and secure it using one of the provided zip ties.

Important Information

Product works on most wheels >20" but not on wheels with open or tight spokes.

Caution!

After installation, check that no parts interfere with the bicycle's operation.

Maintenance

Clean the product with mild soap and water.
