Changing the color change potentiometer
With the power to the machine turned off. Remove the old color change
potentiometer by loosening the two outer
setscrews of the color change collar.
These are the ones closest to the potentiometer
. Then slide the color change
potentiometer out of the collar and the machine. You may have to rotate the color
change collar to get to both outer setscrews.
Unplug the old color change potentiometer by following the cable out of the
potentiometer and unplugging from the connector located on the thread tension
connector. You will also need to remove any cable ties or clips to remove the
potentiometer from the machine. Please make a note of their location so that
after installing the new one they go back in the same place.
