*
Be
sure to disconnect the power source before attempting replacement of the knives.
Fixed knife replacement
(1)
Tilt back the sewing machine head.
(2)
Remove the screw
0,
and then remove the bobbin case holder position bracket
8.
(3)
Remove the flat-head screw E), and then remove the fixed knife
G.
@ If the fixed knife has lost its sharpness, use an oil stone
to
sharpen it,
as
shown in
Fig.
A.
Movable knife replacement
(1)
Raise
the presser foot by using the knee lifter.
(2)
Remove the screw 0 and then remove the scrap guide cover
0.
(3)
Remove the flat-head screws
G,
and then remove the needle plate
0.
(4)
Remove the screws 0 and then remove the scrap guide
G>.
(5)
Turn the sewing machine pulley until the needle bar reaches its highest position.
(6)
Press the thread cutter connecting rod

by hand in the direction
of
the arrow until a position at which the flat-head
screws

can
be
seen
is
reached, and then stop.
(7)
Remove the flat-head screws

and then remove the movable knife

* When removing the needle plate 0 and the movable knife

be
sure to first remove the needle.
* Reassembly can be performed by simpley reversing the above procedure.

If
the needle plate 0 is removed,
be
sure to adjust the upper knife.

* Vor dem Austauschen der Messer den Netzstecker herausziehen.
Austauschen des festen Messers
(1)
Das
Nahmaschinenoberteil zuruckeigen.
(2)
Zuerst die Schraube
0,
danach die Schiffchenarretierung 6 entfernen.
(3)
Die Senkschraube E) losen und das feste Messer 8 entfernen.
@ Wenn das feste Messer stumpf geworden ist,
es
mit
einem Schleifstein scharfen. (siehe Abbildung A)
Austauschen des beweglichen Messers
(1)
Den
StoffdruckerfuB
mit
dem Kniehebl heben.
(2)
Die Schraube 0 losen und die Staubkanalabdeckung 0 abnehmen.
(3)
Die Senkschrauben G und die Stichplatte 0 entfernen.
(4)
Die Schrauben 0 losen und den Staubkanal
4\)
herausnehmen.
(5)
Das
Gurtrad drehen, bis die Nadelstange die hochste Stellung erreicht hat.
(6)
Die Verbindungsstange des Fadenabschneiders

mit
der Hand in Pfeilrichtung drucken, bis die Senkschrauben

sichtbar sind, und anhalten.
(7)
Die Senkschrauben

und das bewegliche Messer

entfernen.
* Vor dem Ausbau der Stichplatte 0 und des beweglichen Messers

die Nadel entfernen.
* Der Zusammenbau erfolgt in umgekehrter Reihenfolge.
* Vor dem Entfernen der Nadelplatte 0 muB das obere Messer festgestellt werden.
