UNSUCCESSFUL REPAIR OR DAMAGE MAY RESULT FROM IMPROPER INSTALLATION.
Symptom:
Customer reports a “NO PAPER FED” message when attempting to feed paper from cassette and/or hears a
“popping” noise when attempting to feed paper and the paper does not leave the paper tray.

Possible cause:
The paper (PE) actuator is stuck in the wrong position and or there is damage to the paper feed frame unit.
PE Actuator is in the incorrect position PE Actuator is in the correct position
Recommendation:
Replace the paper feed frame unit.
PAPER FEED FRAME ASSEMBLY – REMOVAL
Remove the consumables:
1. Power off the machine and disconnect the power cord. Remove the paper tray from the machine.
2. Open the front door. Remove the drum/toners, belt unit and the waste toner pack (both located under the
drum unit). Important – place the drum unit on a flat surface and protect the drum unit from excessive
bright light.
Remove the outer covers:
1. Remove the two screws securing the back cover. Remove the back cover.
