Why is my Brother printer printing faint?

How to fix a Brother HL-3040CN Printer that is printing dark?
If your Brother printer is printing too dark, it could be due to several reasons. It could be caused by corona wire conduction failure, in this case clean both electrodes. Another reason might be dirt on the belt unit electrode, clean both electrodes in this case as well. Other possible causes include failures in the HVPS control PCB, high-voltage power supply PCB, engine PCB, main PCB, or LED head control PCB, or registration mark L PCB failure. In these cases, replace the corresponding ASSY. Finally, it may be caused by Toner/new sensor PCB failure, in this case replace the toner/new sensor PCB ASSY.
