Overview

This document describes the Broyhill Fire Pit Fountain, Model #19524 (UPC 671424 605678), an outdoor appliance designed to function as both a fire pit and a fountain. It is intended for outdoor use only and requires installation and service by a qualified installer, service agency, or gas supplier.

Function Description:

The Broyhill Fire Pit Fountain serves a dual purpose, offering the ambiance of a fire pit and the soothing presence of a water fountain. It operates on a 1LB propane tank for the fire pit function and includes a pump for the fountain feature. The fire pit provides heat and light, while the fountain circulates water, creating a decorative and relaxing element for outdoor spaces. The unit features a control knob for adjusting the flame height (LOW or HIGH) and for shutting down the gas supply.

    • Regulator assembly (Part 6)
    • Thermocouple (Part 7)
    • Knob (Part 8)

Usage Features:

  • Installation: The unit is pre-assembled before shipment. Users must carefully unpack all components and ensure no pieces are missing. The body is placed on a flat, non-combustible floor, ensuring a minimum of 24 inches of clearance from combustible walls. The valve on the control panel should be turned clockwise to the "OFF" position before installation.
  • Fountain Setup: The basin stand should be placed on a clean, level surface. The pump is placed in the fountain basin, with its cord laid in the door opening. The hose is connected to the pump, and a 1LB propane tank is connected to the metal connection inside the column. The fountain is then filled with clean water, and the pump outlet is plugged into a grounded electrical outlet to check water flow.
  • Lighting the Fire Pit: Before lighting, ensure the valve knob is in the "OFF" position. Push in and turn the control knob anti-clockwise to the LOW position. A leak test must be performed before lighting. Hold a lit match within 1/4" of the lava logs until the burner ignites. If the burner fails to light, turn to "OFF," wait 5 minutes, and attempt to re-light. The control knob can then be turned to the desired heat setting (LOW or HIGH).
  • Shut-down: Turn the control knob gently to the "OFF" position. Disconnect and remove the gas tank when the fire pit is not in use.
