GEARCASE
COUNTER ROTATION
Remove gear housing retaining ring.
Remove the set screws and remove the flange.
Remove the shim from either the flange or forward
gear.
Remove the thrust bearing.
Remove the bearing housing from the forward
gear.
Remove the thrust bearing from the forward gear.
Inspect the forward gear for excessive wear or
damage.
