Attenuator

the

dB
Attenuator
the
voltage
ranges
will
be:
50 mV, 500 mV, 5 V
and
50
V.
If
the
amplitude
of
the
input
signal
is
unknown
start
from
the
50 V
full
deflection
and
then
increase
the
sensitivity
until
a
suitable
deflection
is
obtained
on
the
meter
.
The
position
"Ref."
of
the
VOLTAGE RANGE
switch
is
for
calibration
of
the
instrument.
FREQUENCY
RANGE:
The
figures
engraved
around
this
knob
refer
to
the
different
frequency
meter
scales
and
cover
the
following
frequency
ranges:

In
the
position
"Wide"
the
3 dB
bandwidth
is
± 100
kHz
.
This
bandwidth
should
only
be used for
measurements
at
frequencies
higher
than
6 MHz.
When
set
to
this
position
a
crystal
filter
with
a
bandwidth
of
± 1.25
kHz
(3
dB) is
switched
in.
This
knob
is
used
for
frequency
tuning
and
the
frequency
is
indicated
by
the
pointer
of
the
fre-
quency
meter.
The
scale
in
use
is
indicated
by
the
FREQUENCY
RANGE
switch.
