Controlling your TV with your remote
You can operate your TV using your BT remote. Use it to turn the TV
on and off (standby), change channel, adjust the volume and mute
the sound.
How to set your BT remote to control your TV
Before you start, make sure the volume on your BT Vision+ box isn’t
muted or set too low. Your remote will only control your TV volume once
it’s programmed, so you need to do this now. If you need to change it
later, you’ll need to reset your remote (see box below).
1
Find your TV’s four-digit unique code. Some common codes are
in the table on the right.
2
Press and hold Vol and on your BT remote until its blue
light flashes three times.
3
Type in your TV’s four-digit code.
4 Your remote’s blue light should flash three times. If the code’s
wrong, the blue light will flash for one second after you type the
code’s last digit – try again.
5
Once you’ve entered the code, test the remote by turning the
volume up and down and pressing . If the buttons don’t work
properly, repeat the steps above using another code.
6
To test your remote some more, press and hold while trying
Channel or . This should change the channel on your TV
rather than BT TV.
7
If the TV doesn’t react, start again from Step 1 with the next code.
