The radio comes with essential accessories for immediate use and convenience:

  • Stereo earphones: These not only provide audio output but also double as the FM antenna for optimal reception.
  • USB charging cable: For recharging the internal lithium battery.
  • Lanyard: For easy portability and to prevent loss.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Dimensions: 84 x 48 x 12 mm, highlighting its pocket-miniature size.

  • FM Frequency Range: 87.5 – 108.0 MHz.
  • FM Antenna: Earphone wire antenna, emphasizing the dual function of the earphones.
  • AM Antenna: Internal ferrite bar antenna, which requires rotating the radio for best reception in certain directions.
  • Sensitivity: AM - <20 mV//m, FM - < 8 μV, indicating its ability to pick up weak signals.
  • Battery: 500 mA, 3.7 V, a built-in lithium battery providing long operational times.

Usage Features:

Controls:

The radio features a user-friendly interface with several dedicated keys and controls:

  • Earphone jack: For connecting the stereo earphones.
  • Charging jack: For connecting the USB charging cable.
  • Volume control: To adjust the audio output level.
  • AM/FM key: To switch between AM and FM bands.
  • SAVE/DEL key: For programming or deleting station memories.
  • Search/Scan control (<< / >> keys): To manually tune frequencies or initiate automatic scanning.
  • Saved Stations (<< / >> keys): To select stations from the memory.

Operation:

  • Power On/Off: Press and hold the POWER switch on the left-hand side. The LCD displays the current frequency when on, and the user-set time when off.
  • Tuning: Use the AM/FM key to select the band. The SEARCH/SCAN keys (<< / >>) increase or decrease the frequency by 10 kHz for AM and 100 kHz for FM. Holding these keys initiates an automatic search for stations.
  • Volume Adjustment: The VOLUME keys (+ / -) adjust the sound level.
  • Mute: Momentarily pressing the POWER switch mutes the audio, with the MUTE icon displayed. Pressing it again restores sound.
  • Keypad Lock (Hold): Press and hold the "<-" SAVED STATIONS key to lock the keypad, preventing accidental changes. The Keypad Locked icon will flash and then turn on. Repeat the action to unlock.

Programming Station Memories:

The radio can store up to 58 frequencies (29 per band).

  • Automatic Programming: Set the radio to the lowest frequency in the band (520 kHz for AM, 87.5 MHz for FM). Press and hold the AM/FM key. The radio will scan the band and automatically save found stations until all 29 memories are filled or the highest frequency is reached.
  • Manual Programming: Tune to the desired station. Press the SAVE/DEL key once; the MEMO icon and the next available memory number will flash. Press SAVE/DEL again to save the frequency.
  • Deleting Station Memories: Tune to the station you wish to delete. Press and hold the SAVE/DEL key. The LCD will display the frequency and memory number of the station just below the deleted memory. Stations above the deleted memory will shift down.

Setting the Time:

When the radio is off, it displays the time.

  • Enter Time Set Mode: Press and hold the SAVE/DEL key until "24Hr" or "12Hr" is displayed.
  • Select Time Mode: Use the SEARCH/SCAN keys to choose between 24-hour or 12-hour mode.
  • Set Hour: Momentarily press SAVE/DEL. The hour digits will flash. Use the SEARCH/SCAN keys to set the correct hour.
  • Set Minutes: Momentarily press SAVE/DEL. The minute digits will flash. Use the SEARCH/SCAN keys to set the correct minutes.
  • Exit Time Set Mode: Press SAVE/DEL again.

Sleep Timer:

  • Activate/Adjust: Momentarily press the POWER switch when the radio is on. The LCD will display "90" (minutes). Each subsequent momentary press of the POWER switch decrements the timer by ten-minute increments. The radio will turn off once the timer expires.

Maintenance Features:

Battery Charging:

  • Status Indicator: The Battery Status icon on the LCD shows the charge level (three bars for full, one bar or flashing for low).
  • Charging Process: Connect the USB charging cable to the radio's charging port and a computer USB port or a 5V power adapter (charging current should not exceed 1A). The Battery Status icon will flash during charging and show three solid bars when fully charged.

Antenna Considerations:

  • FM Reception: The earphone cable acts as the FM antenna. For best reception, extend the cable as far as possible.
  • AM Reception: The radio uses an internal ferrite antenna for AM. Since this antenna is directional, rotating the radio may improve reception for certain AM stations.
