AC adapter AC adapter for charging Buddy battery
USB cable Connect your player to a PC to transfer data and/or to charge Buddy.
Stereo earphones Plug into Earphone Jack to listen to the audio.
1.2 INSERTING THE BATTERY
Press down the notch on the Upper end of the battery cover and lift to remove it.
Align the exposed metal contacts on the edge of the battery with the connector in the
body of the player.
Push the bottom of the battery into place and then replace the battery cover.
1.3 INSTALLING A SD CARD
Insert the SD card into the slot with the gold contacts facing up. To remove the SD card,
press it to pop it out of the slot.
Note: SD card is not included in the box.
1.4 BATTERY INFORMATION
Battery performance depends on many factors, including the temperature of the
environment.
WARNING! To reduce risk of fire or burns:
Do not attempt to open, disassemble, or service the battery pack.
Do not crush, puncture, short external contacts, or dispose of in fire or water.
Do not expose to temperatures above 60˚C (140˚F).
Replace only with the battery pack designated for this product.
Recycle or dispose of used battery as stipulated by local regulation.
TO CHECK BATTERY POWER
On the Main Menu screen, press INFO. The percentage of Charge remaining is displayed
(spoken out)
TO OPTIMIZE BATTERY POWER
On the Main Menu screen, long press Main Menu to go to the Setup mode.
Scroll to go to Setup >> Backlight, and adjust the backlight settings through the LEFT/
RIGHT keys.
TO MANAGE LOW BATTERY
When the low-battery warning appears, connect with your PC or use the AC adapter to
charge the battery.
