Usage Features

Hob Controls:

  • Burners have three positions: off (0), maximum (big flame symbol), and minimum (small flame symbol).
  • Ignition can be manual or electrical (by control knob). For electrical ignition, push and hold the knob while turning it anti-clockwise to the 90-degree position until a stable flame appears.
  • Flame safety device: Automatically blocks gas lines if a flame is accidentally extinguished. Wait 90 seconds before re-igniting.
  • Pan size recommendation: Use pots with flat bottoms, matching the burner diameter for optimal efficiency (Rapid/Wok: 22-26 cm, Semi-rapid: 14-22 cm, Auxiliary: 12-18 cm).
  • Energy saving tips for hob: Use flat-base cookware of proper size with lids, minimize liquid/fat, reduce heat setting once boiling.

Main Oven Controls:

  • Defrost Function: Thaws frozen food using a fan, without cooking. Place food on a middle shelf with a tray underneath to catch water.
  • Turbo Function: Uses a ring heating element and fan for even heat distribution, suitable for cooking on multiple racks. Preheat for 10 minutes.

Top Oven Controls:

  • Static Cooking Function: Uses upper and lower heating elements for even cooking, ideal for cakes, baked pasta, lasagne, and pizza. Preheat for 10 minutes and cook on one rack at a time.
  • Upper Heating Function: Uses the upper heating element for heating food or frying the top of cooked food.
  • Grilling Function: Uses the grill heating element.
