What to do if my BWS Control Unit shows a Regen Failure?
    • M
      Michael YoungAug 5, 2025
To resolve a Regen Failure in your BWS Control Unit, start by performing a manual regeneration to clear the error. If your system is metered, ensure it's measuring flow by observing the flow indicator during water usage. If there's no flow measurement, check the meter cable connection and meter functionality. Access Master Programming Mode to confirm correct unit configuration, including system capacity, day override settings, and meter identification. For Day-of-Week systems, verify that at least one day is set to ON. Adjust any incorrect settings accordingly. This issue arises when the system hasn't regenerated for over 99 days, or 7 days if set to Day-of-Week mode.

How to fix a Cam Sensor Error on a BWS PROFESSIONAL II Control Unit?
    • A
      Alan CoxAug 12, 2025
If your BWS Control Unit displays a Cam Sensor Error, the valve drive might have taken longer than 6 minutes to advance to the next regeneration position. Begin by unplugging the unit and inspecting the powerhead. Ensure all cam switches are properly connected to the circuit board and functioning. Verify the motor and drive train components are in good condition and correctly assembled. Check the valve to ensure the piston moves freely. Replace or reassemble components as needed. Plug the unit back in to observe its behavior; it should cycle to the next valve position and stop. If the error persists, unplug the unit and contact technical support.

What to do if my BWS PROFESSIONAL II Control Unit displays a Cycle Step Error?
    • J
      Jason KirbyAug 17, 2025
If your BWS Control Unit is showing a Cycle Step Error, it means the control experienced an unexpected cycle input. Unplug the unit and check the powerhead, ensuring all cam switches are properly connected to the circuit board and functioning correctly. Enter Master Programming mode to verify that the valve type and system type are correctly configured for your unit. Manually step the unit through a regeneration cycle to confirm it functions as expected. If the error continues, unplug the unit and contact technical support.

How to resolve a Memory Error on a BWS PROFESSIONAL II?
    • M
      Michael OrtizAug 23, 2025
If your BWS Control Unit displays a Memory Error, it indicates a control board memory failure. Perform a Master Reset and reconfigure the system through Master Programming Mode. After reconfiguration, manually step the valve through a regeneration cycle. If the error reappears, unplug the unit and contact technical support.

Why does my BWS Control Unit show an Upper Drive Synch error?
    • S
      stephanie91Aug 30, 2025
The valve will automatically recover from an Upper Drive Synch error on your BWS Control Unit. This issue is caused by a power failure during an install programming change.
