ADJUSTMENT
OF
DIFFRACTION
GRID
This
unit
uses
a
three
beam
method
for
the
laser
pick-up.
Diffraction
grid
adjustment
involves
adjusting
the
position
of
the
E
and
F
beams
in
relation
to
the
main
beam
so
that
they
are
in
the
same
line.
The
following
is
the
adjustment
procedure.
This
is
a
precise
12
GND
adjustment
and
must
be
made
carefully.
Turn
on
the
power,
place
test
disk
YEDS4
on
the
table
load
and
set
the
unit
to
the
STOP
mode.
Short
test
pins
TP17
and
TP18
of
connector
CN6.
Short
test
pin
TROFF
(TP5)
of
connector
CN7
and
test
pin
GND.
Pass
test
pins
E
(TP3)
and
F
(TP2)
through
the
band
pass
filter,
and
connect
to
the
channels
of
the
dualtrace
oscilloscope.
The
ground
is
obtained
from
test
point
GND.
