      If your Cadet Heater discharges smoke or emits a burnt odor, it could be due to: * Accumulated dust, lint, or other matter inside the heater. Clean the heater according to the maintenance instructions. * Poor or loose electrical connections. Turn off the power at the circuit breaker and inspect all supply and heater wire connections, securing or reconnecting any that are loose. Do not reset the circuit breaker until all connections have been checked and repaired.

      If the element in your Cadet Heater heats briefly without the fan turning and then stops, it could be due to: * A defective motor or internal connection, requiring heater or fan motor replacement. * The fan or motor being jammed. Remove any obstruction and press the heater's manual reset button.

Also, turn off the power at the circuit breaker and inspect all wire connections to ensure they are secure. Do not reset the breaker until all connections have been checked and repaired.
