Why are there suds in my Cafe CDT706?
    • A
      Adam KhanSep 9, 2025
Suds in your Café dishwasher tub usually indicate the wrong detergent was used. Use only high-quality automatic dishwasher detergents like Cascade® Platinum™ ActionPacs™ or Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent. If suds are present, open the dishwasher and let them dissipate. Then, open the door, press and hold Start for 3 seconds, and close the door. Also, be careful not to spill rinse agent and always wipe up any spills immediately.

How do I remove white film from my Cafe CDT706 Dishwasher?
    • K
      Karen MeyersDec 1, 2025
A white film on your glassware, dishware, and the interior of your Café dishwasher is likely due to a low-quality phosphate-free detergent. To remove it, run a cycle with citric acid (WD35X151 kit found online) or use high-quality rinse agents like Cascade® Platinum™ Dishwasher Cleaner or Finish® Dishwasher Cleaner. Pour the citric acid into the detergent cup, load the filmed items (excluding silverware), and run a complete cycle without detergent. Alternatively, pour 1 cup of vinegar into the dishwasher just after the detergent cup opens and let it complete the cycle; repeat as needed. Using high-quality rinse agents such as Cascade® Platinum™ Power Dry™ Rinse Aid or Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid and detergents like Cascade® Platinum™ ActionPacs™ or Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Det...

How to remove spots and filming on glasses from Cafe CDT706?
    • M
      Matthew MartinezDec 1, 2025
To address spots and filming on glasses and flatware from your Café dishwasher, consider these points: If you have extremely hard water, use high-quality rinse agents like Cascade® Platinum™ Power Dry™ Rinse Aid or Finish® Jet-Dry® Rinse Aid; a softener may be required. Ensure your inlet water temperature is at least 120°F (49°C). Avoid overloading the dishwasher and load it properly, as shown in the Loading section. Make sure your powder detergent is fresh and use high-quality detergents such as Cascade® Platinum™ ActionPacs™ or Finish® Quantum® Automatic Dishwashing Detergent. Refill the rinse agent dispenser with high-quality rinse agents. Use the proper amount of highly rated detergent. If you have soft water, use less detergent to prevent etching. If a low-performing phosphate-free de...

How to clean dishes and flatware in Cafe CDT706 Dishwasher?
    • R
      Rachael SharpNov 27, 2025
If your dishes and flatware aren't getting clean in your Café dishwasher, several factors could be at play. First, check if the Ultra-Fine Filter or Fine Filter is clogged and refer to the Care and Cleaning section. Ensure the inlet water temperature is correct by running the hot water faucet nearest the dishwasher until the temperature stops rising, then start the dishwasher. Also, verify that your water pressure is normal (20-120 psi). Other possible causes include a clogged air gap or disposer, improper rack loading, or poor detergent performance. Clean the air gap or flush the disposer, refer to the Installation Instructions for proper drain line installation, ensure large dishware does not block the detergent dispenser or the wash arms (see the Loading section), and use high-quality d...

What to do if control panel works but Cafe CDT706 never fills with water?
    • H
      Heather NguyenSep 14, 2025
If the control panel of your Café dishwasher responds to inputs but the dishwasher never fills with water, first ensure that the door is completely closed. Also, check that the water valve (usually under the sink) is turned on. Finally, the flood float may be stuck; remove the Ultra-Fine filter and lightly tap the piece under it that looks like a salt shaker, then replace the filter.

Why doesn't the Sanitized light illuminate at the end of the cycle on my Cafe CDT706 Dishwasher?
    • R
      rachel12Sep 13, 2025
If the Sanitized or Cycle Sanitized light doesn't illuminate at the end of the cycle on your Café dishwasher, it could be because the door was opened and the cycle was interrupted during the final rinse. Avoid interrupting the cycle by opening the door. Another reason could be that the incoming water temperature was too low; raise the water heater temperature to between 120°F and 150°F.

Why is detergent left in the dispenser cups of my Cafe CDT706 Dishwasher?
    • K
      Kimberly WhiteSep 12, 2025
If detergent is left in the dispenser cups of your Café dishwasher, dishes or utensils might be blocking the detergent cup. Reposition the dishes so the water from the lower spray arm can flush the detergent cup (see the Loading section). Also, reposition tall utensils or heavy silverware that may be preventing the dispenser cup door from opening (see the Loading section), and avoid placing large bowls or pots directly under the detergent dispenser.

Why don't dishes dry in my Cafe CDT706 Dishwasher?
    • P
      Patrick EvansAug 21, 2025
If your dishes aren't drying in your Café dishwasher, here are some things to consider: * Additional drying time may be needed: Leave the door closed after the Clean light appears to allow the fan to run for an additional 90 minutes, or select the Heated Dry/Dry - Ultra option. * Check the inlet water temperature: It should be at least 120°F. You can also select Heated Dry/Dry and use the Wash Temp Boost/Boost Temp/Hi-Temp Wash option, or choose a higher cycle like Wash Temp Sani/Sanitize Temp/Presoak+Sani or Heavy. * Make sure the rinse agent dispenser isn't empty: Refill it as needed.
