jacket should have a high collar and
zip up with wid e flaps across the op en -
ing. When purchasing a rain suit, con-
sider adding waterpro of glo ve s an d
footwear.
Remember, if the weather is wet, it is
best to avoid riding. If you do ride in
wet weather, you may need to sto p if
water starts to accumulate on the road.
Hearing Protection
Long-term exposure to wind and mo-
tor noise w hen riding ca n cause per-
manent hearing loss. Properly worn
hearing protective devices such as
earplugs can help prevent hearing loss.

ing protective devices.
