Symptom
0CA4 Jam Code upon the main power SW ON (Staple/Booklet Finisher-F1)

Description
0CA4 Jam occurred immediately after turning on the Main Power SW.
The following screen is displayed when turning on the Main Power SW on machine only with the Finisher's
Main Power SW being OFF.
When pressing the "Continue Startup" button, system starts up without using Finisher. After that, when
turning ON the Finisher's Main Power SW ON and submitting a job, 0CA4 Jam occurs.
- 0CA4: Page Complete time out jam
Cause
Problem occurs with the Finisher recognition on the DC controller PCB due to the operations in wrong
order or "Continue Startup" operation after power-on. Even though the Finisher's Main Power SW is
turned ON with this condition, no proper communication between the DC controller PCB and Finisher is
performed resulting in the symptom.。
Field Remedy
Turn ON the machine's Main Power SW after turning ON the Finisher's Main Power SW.
