Shooting
Movie Mode
Use this mode to shoot movie frames. The resolution can
be set to either [
(640 × 480)] (PowerShot A70 only) or
[
(320 × 240)] or [
(160 × 120)] (p. 64).

Turn the shooting mode dial to .
The LCD monitor turns on and displays the maximum
recording time (in seconds).

Press the shutter button all the way.
Shooting and sound recording starts simultaneously.
During the shooting a red circle appears in the upper right
of the LCD monitor.

Press the shutter button all the way to
stop recording the movie.
The maximum length of individual movie clips
(approximately 15 frames/second) is about 30 seconds*
at the
setting (PowerShot A70 only), 3 minutes at the
setting and about 3 minutes* at the
setting.
* Using and optional Canon FC-256MH CF Card (not sold in
some regions)
When using the CF card supplied with the camera, the
maximum length is approximately 14 sec.
