The Canon varioPRINT 6000 TITAN Series is a line of digital duplex cut-sheet printers designed for high-volume production environments such as corporate print rooms, commercial print shops, and on-demand book printers. These devices utilize Gemini Instant Duplex technology, which allows for simultaneous imaging on both sides of the paper in a single pass, ensuring accurate registration and offset-class print quality. The varioPRINT 6000 TITAN Series is an evolution of the varioPRINT 6000+ Series.
Three versions of the varioPRINT 6000 TITAN Series are available:
- The "standard" varioPRINT 6000 TITAN Series is suited for general high-volume printing.
- The varioPRINT 6000 TP TITAN Series is optimized for transaction environments and direct mail, often integrated with high-productivity near-line and offline finishing equipment.
- The varioPRINT 6000 MICR TITAN Series is designed for printing magnetically readable characters, making it suitable for sensitive documents like checks and negotiable instruments, in addition to standard document printing.
Key Technical Specifications:
The varioPRINT 6000 TITAN Series offers various print speeds for two-sided LTR (Letter-size) documents:
- varioPRINT 6330 (Standard / TP): up to 320 ipm (images per minute)
- varioPRINT 6270 TITAN (Standard / TP / MICR): up to 266 ipm
- varioPRINT 6220 TITAN (Standard / TP / MICR): up to 216 ipm
- varioPRINT 6180 TITAN (Standard / TP / MICR): up to 177 ipm
The optimal performance range for the varioPRINT 6000 TITAN Series is designed to maintain a high level of performance and print quality. The maximum monthly print volume, based on letter size paper, is the maximum number of pages the machine can produce within a one-month period. Sustained use at this level significantly impacts the long-term performance and durability of the machine.
- varioPRINT 6330: Approximately 1,000,000 to 10,000,000 pages (Maximum Monthly Volume: Up to 10,000,000)
- varioPRINT 6270: Approximately 750,000 to 8,000,000 pages (Maximum Monthly Volume: Up to 8,000,000)
- varioPRINT 6220: Approximately 500,000 to 5,000,000 pages (Maximum Monthly Volume: Up to 5,000,000)
- varioPRINT 6180: Approximately 300,000 to 2,500,000 pages (Maximum Monthly Volume: Up to 2,500,000)
The devices support multiple paper input devices, up to three, through a combination of the Paper Input Module (PIM), PIM Flex-XL, and roll feeder. The optional Light Weight Media Kit allows for validated media with a paper weight as low as 12 lb bond/30 lb text (45 g/m²).
