How to troubleshoot burner motor that will not start in Carlin Indoor Fireplace?
    • B
      Blake SavageNov 12, 2025
If the burner motor of your Carlin Indoor Fireplace won't start, begin by checking the voltage and polarity at the appliance and burner entrance. Inspect the fuse or breaker protecting the circuit. Ensure the appliance limit circuit is calling for heat and verify all electrical connections. If the primary control is in Lockout, the screen will display a flashing fault icon and message, cycling every 4 seconds between the fault message and the time in lockout. If the primary control is in Latch-up, the fault icon will flash, and the screen will show “Latch-up” with the time spent in that state; refer to page 15 for handling this. Also, cross-reference the wiring with the appliance and burner wiring diagrams to correct any discrepancies and confirm all connections are secure. Test the motor ...

    • L
      Lisa BlankenshipNov 21, 2025
If your Carlin Indoor Fireplace burner won’t light and experiences repeated flame failures, start by checking the air band setting against Table 1 on page 7 and reposition if necessary. Verify the gas orifice size, referencing pages 7 and 8 for the correct procedure. Confirm the combination gas valve outlet pressure is between 3.2 and 3.8 inches w.c., unless otherwise specified. Ensure the main manual gas valve is open and attach a manometer to the combination gas valve supply pressure tapping to check for gas supply pressure. If there's no pressure, trace the gas line to identify the blockage. Check that the gas valve is receiving 24 VAC and that the supply pressure is below 14 inches w.c.; replace the valve if it's not opening under these conditions. Inspect the airflow switch's electric...
