For North America only, the TE25 air cap is only approved for the application of clearcoats in regulated areas.
For compliance in regulated areas, this spray gun must be used with a DeVilbiss spray gun mounted air adjusting
valve (HAV-512, HAV-555, or DIGIPRO-504-PSI) which is in good working order. For compliance the inlet
pressure must not exceed 26 psi when used with the TE25 air cap. This gun can also be used in unregulated
areas with the TE25 air cap while using any coating.
For North America only, the TE10 and TE20 air caps are only approved for the application of color coatings and
clearcoats in regulated areas. For compliance in regulated areas, this spray gun must be used with a DeVilbiss
spray gun mounted air adjusting valve (HAV-512, HAV-555, or DIGIPRO-504-PSI) which is in good working
order. For compliance the inlet pressure must not exceed 35 psi with the TE10 aircap or 26 psi with the TE20 air
cap. Item 9 must also be removed for compliance. This gun can also be used in unregulated areas with either air
cap while using any coating.
High volume, low pressure (HVLP) sprayguns are designed to reduce overspray and provide maximum transfer
efficiency by limiting air cap pressure to 0.69 bar (10 psi) (complies with rules issued by SCAQMD and other
authorities). Gun inlet pressure must not exceed 24 psi when using the HVLP cap HV30 to maintain compliance.
Air cap test kit 703541 is available to set the exact cap pressure.
