Why won't my Carrier Heater turn on?

  Your Carrier Heater might not be turning on due to a few reasons. Firstly, the unit has a 3-minute protection feature to prevent overloading, so you must wait three minutes before attempting to turn it back on. Secondly, if you have a cooling and heating model, the outdoor temperature might be too cold, activating the unit’s anti-cold wind to defrost it. In this case, wait until the outdoor temperature is within the operating range.

What to do if my Carrier Heater does not turn on?

  If your Carrier Heater isn't turning on, it could be due to the 3-minute protection feature which prevents overloading. Wait three minutes before trying again. Also, on cooling and heating models, check if the Operation light and PRE-DEF indicators are on, or if the LCD screen shows “dF”. This indicates the outdoor temperature is too cold, and the unit is defrosting. Wait for the temperature to rise within the operating range.
