R-454B
Refrigerant
These units are supplied with one of these refrigerants:
R-410A: belongs to the A1/A1 group, i.e. with high safety both
in the mix and also in the case of a leak.
R-454B: belongs to the A2L group, that is, non-toxic and low
ammability.
Caution: with A2L refrigerant, always use an A2L refrigerant
detector when near the unit.
Important: the type of refrigerant included in the unit can be
consulted on the name plate, see section 4.3.
Periodic check of tightness:
Only quali ed personnel must perform a periodic leak testing, in
accordance with the regulation (EC) No. 517/2014.
The frequency of checks is no longer related to the refrigerant
charge but to its global warming potential:
Charge kg x GWP = t CO2e
Carbon dioxide equivalency (t CO2e) is a quantity that
describes, for a given mixture and amount of greenhouse gas,
the amount in tonnes of CO
2
that would have the same global
warming potential (GWP).
Operators shall ensure that the unit is checked for leaks ad
minima according to the following frequency:

with a leak detector with infrared sensor. Consult the
chapter “Safety elements”.

Additional charge of the optional active dehumidi cation:
Active dehumidification is equipped with an additional
condensation coil, in series with the main cooling circuit, to reheat
the air. In two-circuit units, the coil is incorporated in circuit 2.
