13.3 Heat recovery coil
13 - FACTORY OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES
The heat recovery coil (HRC) is located between the main
indoor coil and the air lters (indoor module).
The coil function is to pre-heat the air that will pass through
the main indoor coil. For this, it uses the temperature of an
outdoor water installation.
It is advisable to install an outdoor thermostat that can shut o
the water supply if the temperature drops below the required
value for heating, especially if such a situation is likely to occur
in the installation.
The " lters + coil" assembly is supplied disassembled for
installation on site.
The coil inlet/outlet connections are shown in the following
drawing ( g. 13.2).

Coil lling:
- The coil lling must be made with the bleeder open until
water runs through it, which is when it is time to close it.
- Cut o the water supply and let the bubbles generated go
up to the highest coil point and eliminate them by opening
the bleeder.
- Pour more water into the circuit and repeat the previous
steps.
- Activate the water pump (to be foreseen by the installer)
and repeat the previous steps until no air noises are heard
in the piping, which is when the lling of the installation will
have been nished successfully.
In case of long unit stops, and forcibly if they happen in the
winter season, the coil must be emptied. Add glycol to the
water if necessary.
The direction of the water ow must be correct and so the
following indications must be observed:
It is recommended to insulate the exposed pipe outside
of the unit.

The cable with the wires for the actuator connection (W50)
is connected in the electrical cabinet of the indoor module.
This cable (3 wires x 1mm
