Units are designed to provide a very high level of safety during
installation, start-up, operation and maintenance.
They will provide safe and reliable service when operated within
their application range.
It is required to follow the recommendations and
instructions in this brochure, the safety manual (No. 10739),
the labels, and the specifi c instructions.
Compliance with the norms and regulations in effect is
mandatory. It is recommended to consult the competent
authorities regarding the applicable regulations for users of units
or components under pressure. The characteristics of these
units or components are included on the plates of characteristics
or in the regulatory documentation provided with the product.
To avoid any risk of accident during installation, commissioning
or maintenance, it is obligatory to take into consideration the
following specifi cations for the units: refrigerated circuits under
pressure, refrigerant presence, electrical voltage presence and
implantation place. The unit should be well-lit, if necessary use
magnetic fl ashlights.
All operations on the unit must be carried out by authorized,
qualifi ed and trained people to do it using appropriate tools.
All refrigerant charging, removal and draining operations
must be carried out by a qualifi ed technician and with the
correct equipment for the unit. Any inappropriate handling
can lead to uncontrolled fl uid or pressure leaks.
2 - SAFETY ADVISE
All persons who have to work with the equipment must wear
personal protective equipment adapted to the intervention on
the unit:
● Safety shoes.
● Safety gloves or specifi c hand protection (cut-resistant gloves,
chemical gloves, thermic gloves, …).
● Eyes or face protection (safety glasses, goggles, facial shed).
● Head protection.
● Ears protection.

1 - INTRODUCTION
These units are designed for indoor installation with their two
modules attached to a network of air distribution ducts. Its
cabinet design has a great adaptability and allows the cooling
and heating of premises where the installation on the roof is
too complex or it is necessary to respect the architecture of
the building.
A vast number of options makes it possible to meet many
operating requirements.
These units are equipped with hermetic scroll-type compressors
in tandem design, as well as electronic plug-fans for the outdoor
and indoor modules, achieving a high seasonal performance.
Ten models are available:
● 1 circuit and 2 compressors: models 022, 028, 038 and 042.
● 2 circuits and 4 compressors: models 058, 064, 074, 086, 106
and 118.
The units comply with European Directives:
● Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC (MD)
● Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU (EMC)
● Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU (Category 1) (PED)
● Eco-design Directive 2009/125/EC (Eco-design)
● Regulation (EU) 2016/2281 SEER/SEPR HT
● Harmonized Standard: EN 378-2:2016 (Refrigerating systems
and heat pumps - Safety and environmental requirements. Part
2: Design, construction, testing, marking and documentation)
After manufacturing, the units supplied in the Package
version, as well as the Split version that incorporate the
optional service valves, are charged with R-410A refrigerant,
and are tested at the factory, verifying the correct operation
of all their components within the operating range for which
they are intended.
Technicians who install, commission, operate
and service the unit must possess the necessary
training and certifications, understand the
instructions given in this manual and be familiar
with the specifi c technical characteristics of the
installation site.
Additional equipment may be required, depending on the risk
analysis that must be done prior to any intervention.
The unit must be installed in a place that is not accessible
to the public or protected against access by unauthorized
persons.
50NC reversible heat pumps are vertical air-to-air units
consisting of two modules (indoor and outdoor), which can be
supplied in Package or Split version.
