If your Carrier Air Conditioner is not cooling or heating the room well despite airflow, it could be due to several reasons. First, check if the temperature setting is appropriate. Refer to the "Using remote control" section for detailed instructions on how to set the temperature correctly. Another cause might be a blocked air filter, so ensure you clean it. Also, make sure that doors and windows are closed to prevent outside air from affecting the unit's performance. Check for any obstructions blocking the air inlet or outlet of either the indoor or outdoor unit; if blocked, clear them and then restart the unit. Finally, the compressor might be under a 3-minute protection mode, in which case, simply wait.
