The 59SC5B Comfort™ 95 Single-Stage, 4-Way Multipoise, Condensing Gas Furnace is a sophisticated heating solution designed for residential applications. Its primary function is to provide efficient and reliable heating, while also contributing to year-round electrical efficiency when paired with a compatible condensing unit. The furnace boasts a high AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) rating, indicating its effectiveness in converting fuel into usable heat.
One of the key usage features of this furnace is its fixed-speeds, constant torque (FCT) ECM blower motor. This motor ensures electrically efficient operation throughout the year, whether the unit is in heating, cooling, or continuous fan operation. This contributes to energy savings and consistent airflow. The furnace also incorporates a single-speed inducer motor and a single-stage gas valve, simplifying its operation while maintaining performance.
For ignition, the 59SC5B utilizes a Silicon Nitride PowerHeat™ Hot Surface Igniter. The furnace is also approved for Twinning applications with an accessory kit, allowing two units to operate in tandem for larger heating requirements. For manufactured housing or mobile home applications, an MH accessory kit enables compliant installation. The unit is convertible to propane with a gas conversion accessory kit, adding to its versatility.
The sealed combustion system is another notable feature. By drawing combustion air from outside the furnace, it contributes to quieter operation.
